Description: Air Break DOL Starters are used for 3-phase, 415V, 50 Hz motor applications that have built-in protection against single phasing and for single phases 240V 50 Hz motor applications. Model MJ1JT is an extremely compact and is aesthetically designed for direct on-line starting. It is built as per IS: 13947 standards. The thermal overload relay type JT1 renders reliable protection to motor. The starters are available in-up to 5 HP for 3 phase, 415V, and 50 Hz motors; and up to 2 HP or with a maximum relay range of 6 to 9 A for single phase, 240V, 50 Hz motors. It is provided with steel sheet enclosure with edges perfectly rounded. The starter enclosure is designed for IP-53 protection and is powder coated for better weather resistance. The adequate and convenient termination space is available for recommended power cables; and for motor protection. The thermal overload relay type JT1 that are provided with the starter has the following salient features: it provides protection against single phasing for 3 phase starter applications; it is ambient temperature compensated and has been type tested as per IS: 13947 at ERDA; user selectable auto and manual reset options are available on the relay. Selection is by rotating a small, yellow plastic lever from auto to manual position or vice versa; it has excellent repeat accuracy; trip class of this relay as per Table II of IS: 13947 part 4 is 10A; relay knob markings are spread considerably apart which imparts high resolution; and relay knob has a screw driver slot which enables easy rotation of relay knob for convenient current setting.
