Angle valves are frequently used as flow regulation on the outlet of the hat emitter such as panel radiators or standing cast-iron radiators. Because the path through an angle valve is not a convoluted as that through other valve, it creates slightly less pressure drop. However, angle valves should not be used solely for component isolation. Angle valves are used when making a 90-degree turn in a line. It reduces the number of joints and saves make-up time. It also gives less restriction to flow than elbow and glob valve it displaces.
