Profile: Audco India Limited (AIL), Chennai, is a joint venture company with equal equity holding by L&T and Flowserve Corporation, USA. It is India's leading manufacturer of industrial valves with three independent specialised manufacturing facilities. The company also manufactures valves for the oil and gas industry, and is licensed to use the API monogram under API 6A and API 6D Standards of American Petroleum Institute.

The Quality Management System of the company has been certified to comply with ISO 9001, TUV, API Spec. Q1 and has also been approved by international consultants. The R&D Centre is equipped with facilities for finite element analysis, strain analysis, and type and cyclic testing.

AIL's products are marketed by L&T. In the international market, AIL gate, globe and check valves are approved by major oil companies, including ExxonMobil, Shell, Chevron-Texaco, TOTAL, SASOL, ARAMCO and ADNOC. AIL valves are exported to USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, South Africa, the Middle East and the Far East. AIL's gate, globe and check valves supplied to Europe for use within the European Community, carry the CE marking.
