Back Pressure Regulator Manufacturers

Back Pressure Regulators sense and control evaporator pressure. The primary function of this valve is to prevent evaporator pressure from falling below a predetermined value. The valve opens when the evaporator is operating at design pressure. As the load is met and evaporator pressure drops, the valve automatically throttles or restricts vapor leaving the evaporator, thus maintaining the desired minimum evaporator pressure. When the load increases, the evaporator pressure rises above the valve setting and the valve opens further. It prevents freezing of water chillers that operate at excessively low suction temperatures. On a multi-temperature evaporator system, the backpressure-regulating valve is installed on the suction line of the higher-temperature evaporator.
