Our long shank burs are manufactured with a solid carbide bur brazed to a 6 inch long steel shank. They are available in double cut and aluminum cut. The double cut allows for rapid stock removal in hard materials. The addition of the left hand flutes reduces the pulling action, allowing for better operator control. It reduces the size of the chips and can be used at slower than normal speeds.
