Carriage Bolts Manufacturers

Carriage bolts are used to tie wooden members in structures together. These bolts have square cross sections just below the head, so that the corners of the square, pressed into the wood, will lock the bolt against turning when the nut is tightened on it. A carriage bolt or coach bolt has a domed or countersunk head, and a short square section under the head tops the shaft. The rib neck carriage bolt has several longitudinal ribs instead of the square section, to grip into a metal part that being fixed. Unlike regular bolts, the shank end near the bolt head is square on a carriage bolt. The holes in the brace bands and tension bands are also square.
