The turbidity meter is a highly accurate device with a fully submersible sensor for in-situ environmental or process monitoring. It measures solids, turbidity, concentration, consistency and optical density. For turbidity measurement the sensor is a 90 degree scatter nephelometer where a focused beam is directed into the monitored water. The light beam reflects off particles in the water, and the resultant light intensity is measured by a photodetector positioned at 90 degrees to the light beam. The detected light intensity is directly proportional to the turbidity of the water. The sensor utilizes a second light detector to correct for light intensity variations, color changes, and minor lens fouling.

Turbine bypass valve is used to reduce the pressure and temperature of the superheated steam before it enters the condenser. The valves are critical to the safe operation of the plant and must open very fast in the event of a turbine failure. In a power plant using a fired boiler with re-heater, the high-pressure bypass valve controls the letdown of steam from the live steam line to the cold reheat line. The low-pressure bypass valve controls the letdown of steam from the hot reheat line into the condenser.

The method employs pins to temporarily connect unbolted rotor couplings for rotation and alignment, allowing any number of couplings to be aligned simultaneously. The pins ensure accurate data and work well with dial indicator rim. Pins maintain the angular relationship between the coupling halves during rotation, thereby keeping the rotor match marks in close tolerance, improving alignment accuracy.
