Dished heads are made up of carbon steels, alloy steels, stainless steels and nonferrous alloys. It is with the pressure on the convex side are allowed a maximum working pressure equal to 60 per cent of that for heads of the same dimensions. There are certain types of dished heads which includes spheric cap, flat head, slightly convex head, decinormal head, diffuser bottom, flanged head, hemispherical head, conical head, tube sheet and tube sheet.
