Description: Heavy-Duty-Capacitors are robust electrical devices that are fast replacing conventional capacitor since the latter are not economical, bulky and does not have a good life span. The basic design of these capacitors derives the advantages of series connection of elements, whereby the effective voltage stress on capacitor element is reduced by upto 50%. This reduced voltage stress on the elements ensures reliability of the product and make them capable to withstand high voltage and current surges. They are used in forging shops, foundries, steel reenrolling mills, power generation and distribution installations. Discharge resistor is fitted externally and provision of earthing with every unit ensures electrical safety of the product following IS 13340-1993 standards.
