Lubricated tapered plug valve is used for regulating the flow of liquids containing suspended solids or slurries. This lubricated plug valve is filled with a slug of grease periodically depending on the frequency of their use at high pressures. They follow a method of forming a stem seal and controlling the sealant film thickness, in which a deformable ring is inverted in an annular space between the stem, valve cover and the top of the plug.
