Profile: Midwest Gear produces a wide range of custom gear products, which include pinions, sprockets, pinion shafts and wheels, as well as precision gear grinding & cut teeth subcontracting. We serve industries, such as the steel, automotive, agriculture, forestry, paper, construction, packaging and transportation. We deal with gear tooth grinding, hobbing, shaping, shaved teeth, splined shafts, broaching and heat-treating. Our splined shaft is cut on a 48H G&E machine and holds 110" long shafts & can bury 71/2" x 40" below the table. We provide heat-treating, which is available for carburizing, nitriting, flame hardening and induction hardening.
