National Traders was established in 1951, in Calcutta manufacturing Electrical Accessories like Switches, Sockets and Plugs, Electrical Fittings like Flood Light and Bulk Head. As it progressed new items like Ceramic Holders were added to the existing range. Overhead Line Materials were next on line to cater to local Electricity Boards of various states. In 1975 for having better exposure on local as well as international level a branch was established in Bombay. This was a spring board for the company to get the maximum exposure to all the big projects, Government Departments, Exporters while ever increasing the list of items including Brass Turned Parts, Insulators and their Hardware. All along we kept a quality watch on the products being manufactured.

In 1985 a major step was taken to establish a branch in U.K. in the name of ALKA INTERNATIONAL (U.K.) LTD. LONDON. Brass Builders’ Hardware, Ceramic Lamp Holders, Brass Turned Parts all made as per British Specifications and tested at recognized laboratories in U.K. We have well trained staff and testing facilities to keep a check on the quality of the material at all levels of manufacturing. Our products like Cross arms, Stay Sets, Tension Hardware, P.G.Clamps, Insulators, Stay Wires, Bi-Metallic Clamps, and other Line Materials are approved and used by various departments in U.A.E., Oman, Qatar, Yemen, Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei.
