Pall Rings Manufacturers

Pall rings are made from thin metal with portions of the wall bent inward or from plastic with slots in the wall and stiffening ribs inside. Beds of pall rings have 90 percent void fraction and lower pressure drop than most other packings of the same nominal size. The shape is essentially a modification of the Raschig ring. It is made of polypropylene and thermoplastics in sizes ranging from 5/8 to 3-1/2 inch. nominal diameter. A 1-in Pall ring achieves higher gas absorption for the same depth of packaging. Plastic pall rings are used extensively in both new and retrofit installations.
