Profile: Quaker City Castings is an iron and steel foundry. We specialize in the production of cylinder liners, special alloy irons, carbon steels and heat resistant steels. We are accredited with ISO 9001:2000 certification. We serve industries, such as the drilling, mining, valves, fittings and tire. Our centrifugal applications include cylinder liners, lapping pots, bushings, ni-resist piston inserts and heat shaped tubes. Our sand foundry utilizes two molding centers, where no-bake sand is used to give a wide range of molding capabilities. We operate casting machines using wet and dry process technology. Melting is accomplished using 3 electric furnaces with a capacity of 9,000 lbs each (4,082 kg).
