Chip-on-board (COB) technology bonds the IC directly on the PCB. The IC is then covered with epoxy for protection. We offer a wide range of standard COB in graphic and character style formats. Chip-on-glass (COG) technology mounts the IC directly onto the glass panel. With large viewing area and minimal thickness, COG is the favorite choice for applications such as MP3 players, cell phones & gaming devices. Tape automated bonding (TAB) mounts the IC onto a polyimide film which has stamped openings for IC and connection leads.
