It has a powerful 13 amp motor with overload protection. It cuts mild steel to 5/16" thickness, like cutting plywood. It also cuts channel, angles, pipes & solids. Mild steel, aluminum, stainless and thin steel blades are also available for specific materials. It includes carrying case, protective glasses and hearing protection. Chip collection system catches most hot chips, with an additional vented cover included for cutting wood and aluminum. Our carbide tipped blades are available for clean and cool cutting of mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum and wood. These are specially designed for metal cutting saws. Our magnetic base drills maintain rigidity and accuracy throughout the life of the drill. Our rail system eliminates the need to adjust/maintain traditional gibs. In addition to saving on maintenance, cutter life is increased by reducing the movement at the cutter tips. The D1 is the most powerful, precise, portable magnetic drill in the industry. Weighing only 23 lbs., the D1 cuts holes up to 1-1/2" in diameter through 2" thick mild steel. As it is 14-3/4" tall, it works in tight spaces and its powerful magnet enables to have a good grip.
