Mist Eliminator / Demister Pad
It is specially designed and fabricated from Knitted wire of metallic or synthetic materials, to suit process configuration in existing or new equipment. When properly installed, the Mist eliminator achieves 99.9%+ separation efficiency with minimum pressure drop.
Mechanism of Mist Eliminator / Demister Pad
Mist is a generic term for entrainment, where the size of entrained liquid droplets is less than 10um. When mist laden vapor passes through the knitted wire mesh the vapor moves freely through the mesh but the liquid droplets, having inertia cannot follow the gas streamlines, contact the wire surfaces and are briefly held there.
Separation Efficiency
The demister pad is extremely versatile, providing virtually 100% removal efficiency in most mist control application for particles greater than 5mm size. In order to further improve the efficiency in the sub-micron range, special fibers are imbedded into the mesh to take advantage of brownian diffusion. Furnished in a great variety of mesh styles, the demister offers capture efficiency and pressure drop that can be suited exactly to specific process requirements. Actual droplets size separation efficiency in other systems will be affected by gas velocity, liquid and gas densities and physical characteristics of mesh pad.

Multi Mesh Column Packing
Multi Mesh column packing is an efficient packing for distillation towers operating at reduced pressure. Separation of heat sensitive, close boiling fractions calls for many theoretical stages and low pressure drop Multi Mesh column packing having a very low pressure drop per theoretical stage is precise solution to this problem. It is fabricated by knitting bunched fine wires in to mesh which is further crimped and wound in to a roll of the desired column diameter. It is supplied as 150 mm height module of the same diameter as the nominal bore of the column.
