Telemetry software allows connection to remote instruments via direct cable, wire modem, RF modem, or satellite link. This software acquires, processes, displays and stores all oceanographic, meteorological, and directional wave data from an S4 and optional meteorological instruments in real-time. It is designed to run on any PC (win2000, XP) using the Microsoft Windows 95/98 or Windows NT operating systems. Menu-based setup screens are incorporated to provide easy setup of logging parameters using point-and-click commands. Standard Windows drop-down menus are used to configure communication ports, calibration settings, file and printer options. Complete communications port status monitoring and display is included. Collected and processed data may be printed and/or sent to remote computers via a second serial port. Remote control software may be used to access the data files, and monitor and control the process from a remote computer.
