Profile: The L. S. Starrett Company manufactures precision tools, gages, measuring instruments and saw blades for industrial, professional & consumer markets. Our product line includes precision tools (micrometers, calipers, rules), tape measures, levels, electronic gages, dial indicators, gage blocks, granite surface plates, optical measuring projectors, coordinate measuring machines and precision ground flat stock. We deliver band saw blades, hacksaws, hole saws and jig & reciprocating blades. Our blades cut from metal and wood to exotic space age materials. We manufacture, stock and custom weld a line of these products. Our tools are used for inspecting and cutting a number of products that are measured, cut, formed/assembled. Our calibration laboratory performs length, angle, straightness, parallelism, depth and height parameters on calipers, dial indicators, micrometers, bores, height & length gages, levels/vials, protractors & steel tape lines. Our calibration laboratory offers certification and calibration services in accordance with U.S. ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 & ISO 17025 for precision measuring tools. We offer precision measuring tools that are inspected to specific standards and calibration services to meet requirements for documentation of new/in-service measuring tools.
