Our HeliCoil screw thread inserts are helically wound and precision formed coils of extremely hard stainless steel diamond shaped wire. These have all the characteristics of free running inserts. These coils serve as a locking device by gripping the threads of the installed screw, effectively preventing the screw from loosening under vibration/impact. These permit frequent removal and reassembly of bolts without appreciable loss of torque. They positively secure the screw against loosening caused by vibration and shock. Self clinching fasteners are often the most practical and effective method of joining thin sheet metal parts. These are designed for permanent installation in an assembly and provide strong & reusable threads in panels to be tapped. They have effectively enabled the development of many thin metal designs. The primary use of self clinching fasteners is to provide good pullout and torque loads where the sheet metal is too thin for secure fastening using other methods. It requires fewer assembly operations than other traditional forms of fastening such as nuts and they also have greater reusability & can hold more power than metal screws. It can be installed during metal fabrication/during final assembly. They simplify assembly operations as well as reduce the installation costs as compared to other types of fasteners.
