The flowrate is proportional to the rotational speed of the rotor. They are used to detect the rotor speed, including mechanical shafts and electronic sensors. They infer the volume by measuring the rotation speed of a turbine suspended in the flow stream. They differ according to the design of the spinning rotor. This can be used on both liquids and gases.
