Description: Vertical Turning Lathe machines come in the high-speed series such as the heavy-duty series and the extra heavy-duty series. The high-speed series comes in chuck sizes of 12″ to 21″ with swings of 25″ to 42″. These machines have a spindle nose of A2-8 and A2-11 with spindle speeds of 1,250 to 2,250 RPM. The turret configuration is 8-12 station with or without power tools and a 4-6-station turret for large diameter work to avoid interference. All machines are made from Meehanite cast iron. The machine is built as a high-speed heavy-duty cutting structure. A box type column ensures high rigidity and vibration free cutting. The X and Z axes are box ways with scrape fitting and high precision grinding for high response feed. It contains a high torque main spindle with built-in dual speed gearbox for torque at the low end. The high-speed spindle has a precision bearing structure with a 3-layer dust and waterproof protection. The machine comes with auto lubrication of the ball screw, bearing and box-ways. The machine stops automatically when no lubrication is sensed. An option of Fanuc 18iT control is also available. The electrical cabinet has a heat exchanger protection and is suitable for all kind of environments. The heavy-duty series comes in table sizes of 20″ to 40″ with swings of 32″ to 48″.
