Flange Axle Yokes is used with a forcing screw or slide hammer. It adapts the pinion flange of the ford rear axle to the u-joint common in Jeep Wranglers. It is designed to provide extra strength to functionality to the application. It includes a flange portion that has a plurality of apertures formed. The flange yoke has a pilot receiver that receives the pilot that protrudes from the splined shaft. It is precisely positioned relative to the axis of rotation of the splined shaft, regardless of any dimensional variations in the manufacture of each of the various components.
Flange protector bands are used to protect flange faces from corrosion. Its construction materials consist of a 316L stainless steel band, clamps and zerk fittings. They have a closed cell sponge rubber lining. These are tailored for each individual flange. When the band is secured around the made-up flanges, grease can be injected through the zerk fittings. The grease will fill the open area between the two flanges, thus excluding moisture and air. These are often used in environments such as processing plants with corrosive atmospheres, offshore drilling platforms and brine wells.
