Inorganic joint filler is flexible, readily compressible, closed-cell polyethylene and neoprene rubber joint filler. It is designed for the used as an expansion joint filler in concrete, brick and blockwork, isolation joints and hinge joints. These are used as back up strips for elastromeric sealants.
The inorganic zinc coatings require either a near white or commercial blast clean surface. The inorganic zinc coatings chemically bond to the steel surface and have been found to provide adequate protection without a topcoat when applied to a dry film thickness of about 4 mil. The epoxy mastics and coal-tar epoxy prime coats are suitable over a sound, previously coated surface. Inorganic zinc coatings are very resistant to different chemicals and especially solvents.
