Fluid grip power tongs are used for gripping tubulars by encircling it with fluid pressure. The gripping surface is completely non-metallic and does not alter the pipe surface in any way. When pressure is applied to the circumference of the tube body, it is done in a uniform manner regardless of the pipe's degree of roundness or surface finish. It features an integral back up tong, which utilizes the gripping device. Built in safeguards prevent pressurization of the system while the tong is in the open position.
Fluid loss additives are used for stimulation are essentially synonymous with diverting agents. Fluid loss additives act as bridging materials within the treating fluid, which restricts the flow of fluid into undesirable, overtreated or depleted areas of the reservoir and divert the treatment into the primary areas of interest and production potential. Fluid loss additives reduce the loss of water from cement slurries.
Fluid Loss Control Additives are designed to reduce water loss from the slurry to the formation. This protects sensitive formations from damage and avoids premature dehydration of the slurry. Fluid loss control additives act as gas migration control additives. These prevent gas from channeling through the slurry as it sets and the hydrostatic load is reduced.
Fluid metering system includes a housing having a piston chamber with first and second spaced ends and at least one housing inlet and outlet passage. The housing inlet and outlet passages communicate with the piston chamber. A piston is disposed in the piston chamber for reciprocal movement between the first and second ends of the piston chamber to alternatingly define first and second volume. At least one first slot, and second slot are formed on the outer surface of the piston, and extend from respective ends of the piston toward the respectively opposite ends. The piston is rotatable within the piston chamber to alternatingly bring one of the first or second slots in registration with the housing inlet passage, while simultaneously bringing the other of the first or second slots in registration with the housing outlet passage.
