Draw latches are installed without penetrating the solid. They mount on the side of the lid and operate externally, drawing the lid against the chassis and holding it in place under spring tension, resisting shock and vibration. From a shielding point of view, they are great. These are used on luggage and on many military enclosures that must be air-tight. These are extremely versatile latches that can be used anywhere, from garbage cans and toolboxes to recreational vehicles. These are available in plastic, elastomers, steel and stainless. They have a wide range of available features including secondary catches, padlock eyes and even keyed locks.
Draw Tube Actuated Chucks are actuated by a hydraulic or air powered tube or bar moving forward and backward to open or close the chuck jaws. These chucks may be found in either a wedge block or lever action design.
