Pneumatic rotary actuators are use-pressurized air to rotate mechanical components. These are used in applications such as machine loading and unloading, material handling, product assembly, welding, packing, testing and quality control. Pneumatic rotary actuators that provide positional feedback include encoders or potentiometers. Some pneumatic rotary actuators include a closed loop air/oil system for hydraulic-like smoothness.
Pneumatic Seals are used at higher temperatures than seals for liquids. Pneumatic seals are increasingly required to operate in dry conditions. These seals are expected to survive on a one-and-only initial lubrication.
