Calcined kaolin powder is an anhydrous silicate powder generated by heating ultra fine natural kaolin to high temperature in a kiln. The calcinations process increases whiteness and hardness, improves electrical properties, and alters the size and shape of the kaolin particles.

Calcite filters are used in low pH water to raise the pH level thus lowering the acidic nature of water. These filters use inexpensive calcite as the filter media. While raising pH level, the calcite filter also increases water's hardness level. When acidic water comes in contact with calcite, the calcium carbonate media is slowly dissolved, raising the pH, which reduces potential damage, to copper and other metals found in typical plumbing systems. Periodic backwashing will prevent packing and maintain high service flow rates. Calcite will increase water's hardness, so a softener may become necessary downline of the neutralizer.

Calcite powder is a natural calcium carbonate with extremely high whiteness, purity and free flowing in nature. It is widely used in plastics as filler due to its high dispersibility, low oil absorption, high impact resistance, smooth surface finish, easy processing and excellent dimensional stability. It acts as a spacing extender, increasing efficiency of pigment Tio2.

Calcium Chloride is an ionic compound of calcium and chlorine. It is highly soluble in water and it is deliquescent. Calcium chloride is a by-product of the Solvay process used for the manufacture of sodium carbonate. Calcium chloride is usually used to pack drying tubes to exclude atmospheric moisture from a reaction set-up while allowing gases to escape. Calcium chloride is also used as an ice-melting compound. Calcium chloride absorbs water vapor from the air and liquid water from the roadbed. Calcium chloride is a colorless or white solid that is produced as a by-product of the manufacture of sodium carbonate or from reactions between hydrochloric acid and calcium carbonate. Calcium chloride has a greater effect on aluminum absorbance than calcium or chloride separately.
