Calcined kaolin powder is an anhydrous silicate powder generated by heating ultra fine natural kaolin to high temperature in a kiln. The calcinations process increases whiteness and hardness, improves electrical properties, and alters the size and shape of the kaolin particles.

Calcium chloride has a greater effect on aluminum absorbance than calcium or chloride separately.
