Teflon lip seals provide a wider operating temperature range than the rubber seal (maximum operating temperature of 550º F). Additionally, the Teflon contact results in lower starting torque, therefore these seals can be used in applications where torque sesnsitivity is a consideration. It can cut a groove in the shaft due to the abrasive nature of the tough seal material and the contaminants in the oil.

Teflon Aspirators are used for the extraction or dilution of fluids from chemical tanks. Teflon aspirators include an option for an integral check valve.

Dilution drain valve is a mixing valve for diluting solutions while draining a tank. When water pressure is activated, a unique spool valve design moves forward and aspirates the tank dry. When water pressure is deactivated, a PTFE-coated isolated return spring automatically shuts off the valve. It frees up operator to perform other duties while draining tank. It also cools and dilutes solution while draining. These types of valves can be selected for various dilution rates (2:1 and 6:1 standard)

Encapsulated Thermometers is an instrument for measuring temperature of acids, chlorides, sulfates, bleach, solvents, phenols, caustics and peroxides. The thermometer is made more resilient to bumps and jars. It is not unbreakable. However, if the thermometer breaks, the liquid will be retained within the Teflon jacket, therefore stopping contamination wherever the thermometer is being used. Encapsulating the thermometer in Teflon does not change the calibration of the thermometer, but it does increase the lag time. Teflon encapsulated thermometers should not be used in timed tests.

Pressure regulator is a valve that automatically cuts off the flow of a liquid or gas at a certain pressure, usually for the purpose of preventing damage to plumbing. They allow sources of water to be used which come at a higher pressure than can be tolerated. Pressure regulators are not only used to stop water, they react to the pressure on their output side, and close when the pressure in the plumbing reaches the designated level. Also when the pressure come down, the valve opens and allows flow until the plumbing pressure goes back up.
