Prick Punches is used for marking metal. It is forged from alloy steel, one-piece construction. It is hardened and tempered for long life. It has blasted finish with rust preventative. It is used to make a small guide dimple to prepare for use of a larger center punch. The small dimple is usually felt when larger point is applied. It is used on models, larger ones and bench work. It is normally used during layout, with very tiny dimples to allow for corrections.
Primary cables are used for transmission of electrical power. These cables have a layer of semiconducting material placed around the insulation to act as an electrostatic shield that tends to distribute electrostatic stresses in the insulation more uniformly. A plastic protective jacket is placed around the semiconducting layer to protect it from abrasion during handling and installation.
