Addressable systems provide information on the status of each device by way of an LCD and computerized graphic. It operates on a communication loop known as an intelligent loop interface circuit or signaling line circuit. It has the advantage of flexibility of installation and use, with the reliability of hard wiring. It uses a network controller or power supply with small unobtrusive LCD displays fitted at any location to provide maximum staff cover. The installation is by a two wire (power and data) protocol network cabling with addressable devices connected to the system along the wiring run. The addressable system suits the needs of specialized homes as the display of calls can be shown wherever required. It will also cater for emergency calls in that staff can make a distinct type of call for extra help by means of emergency tones and pulsing lights & indicators.
