Spring Locating Pins provide an extremely compact way to apply side force to a workpiece, for positioning or light clamping. They are designed for fixturing small parts in tight or compact space. It is ideal for positioning and chucking flat parts and round parts and for profile clamping. It is very useful for some workpiece setups. Once pressed into a mounting hole there is no way to adjust their position relative to the workpiece.

Spring pins are cylindrical fasteners that are used to locate, align, and join components. These are universally used shear type fasteners. These rugged self-locking pins meet thousands of demanding industrial applications. Spring pins are an excellent choice when a non-precision, hollow, self-locking fastener is acceptable. Common uses for spring pins include: dowels, spacers, stop pins and hinge pins. It manufactured to an oversize dimension so that when the pin is inserted into a hole, radial forces are generated against the hole wall holding the spring pin securely in place.

Spring Plunger is a device that encloses a spring in a threaded capsule and provides a means of applying accurate and repeatable spring end forces through a ball or rounded nose. Encapsulating the spring inside the body has several advantages over standard, unprotected springs: installation is fast and easy, side forces can be applied to the assembly and repeatable end forces and extension are maintained throughout the life of the plunger. Spring plungers are often used to lift parts after machining to make unloading easier.
