They may have one or more shared supply chambers and any number of outlets. It is used for general purpose, gas, and pneumatic or compressed air, pneumatic or vacuum applications.

Manometer is a pressure measuring instrument, usually limited to measuring pressures. It is often used to refer specifically to liquid column hydrostatic instruments. They are used to determine the pressure difference between two vessels. It is often a U-tube filled with water, light oil, or mercury. This is constructed so that the observed displacement of liquid in it will indicate the pressure being exerted on it by the fluid being monitored.
