Pulsation Dampeners are designed to address pressure pulsation, which is caused by the resistance of the system to flow. The purpose of the pulsation dampeners is to reduce cavitation, vibrations and noise within a pumping system. Pulsation dampeners interface pumps and pipes systems. Pulsation dampeners are used to improve pump system efficiency by removing pulsating flows from positive displacement pumps, insuring a smooth and continuous fluid flow & meter accuracy, eliminating pipe vibrations and protecting gaskets & seals. Pulsation dampeners are installed on the discharge side of positive displacement pumps to remove the pulsating flow caused by the start and stop action of the pump.
