Piston seals are used for linear and reciprocating dynamic sealing applications. Its design ensures a high static seal force on the inside diameter of the seal, which adds stability and helps to limit the rocking motion of the seal as the piston cycles, and in turn, can reduce fluid seepage.
Piston switches are ideal for applications demanding rapid cycling at high pressure. It is available in various pressure ranges up to 12,000 psi. These switches are suitable for use in industrial applications such as hydraulic presses, compactors, and machine tools.
Piston valve is a device used to control the motion of a fluid along a tube or pipe by means of the linear motion of a piston within a chamber or cylinder. These valves are used in the valve gear of many stationary steam engines and most steam locomotives. When a piston valve is opened ("pressed" and "pushed down"), each valve changes the pitch by diverting the air stream through additional tubing, thus lengthening the instrument and lowering the harmonic series on which the instrument is vibrating.
