Liquid tight fitting provides higher unit sealing pressures and improved liquid tight sealing by providing line, rather than surface, contact at critical points. It is used for terminating flexible conduit to electrical enclosures and also for all control and power wiring. The fitting includes a sealing rib having a pitch of 0.degree located on the outer surface of the gland end and extending thereabout whereby a seal is provided between the outer surface of the gland end and the interior of a length of conduit secured thereto. The fitting further includes a protective hood secured to the gland end of the fitting whereby an annular cavity is defined about the gland end of the fitting, the annular cavity being sized to receive and enclose the terminating end of the conduit secured to the fitting. The body member of the fitting makes line contact with a flared lip of the ferrule. The lip of the ferrule makes line contact with the sealing ring. The vector forces, which create the seals, have components in the directions required to most effectively and efficiently produce the seals. The sealing ring may be made symmetrical, is discontinuous, has an inside bead for sealing against the conduit and may include wings for retention in the gland nut prior to assembly of the fitting on a conduit end.

Liquid Tight Strain Relief Connectors are used for making direct accelerometer or transducer extension cable entries into the BNC junction boxes. These connectors are constructed of polyamide and provide both environmental sealing & strain relief. The connectors are temperature rated to -40o to 212o F (-60o to 100o C) and have a pressure rating of up to 150 PSIG. These connector features liquid-tight, nylon construction, flame retardant, self extinguishing, oil, grease & salt water resistant, RoHS compliant and neoprene seal & lock nut.
