An iris valve is used to control the flow of bulk solid materials. It consists of a flexible cylindrical sleeve, a control ring, and a polymeric isolator disc. Rotating the control ring twists the flexible sleeve in an iris pattern to close an opening through the valve. Clamp bands attached to the upper body member and control ring include a machined helical pattern to securely grip the ends of the flexible sleeve, and a threaded handle locks the control ring in place against the body members.

An isolation valve is a valve designed to separate or isolate the fluid media from the inner workings of the valve. These are used for diverting process media, facilitating maintenance, equipment removal and shutdown. In a solenoid valve this is typically accomplished using a diaphragm. Also known as a diaphragm valve, the only materials wetted by the fluid media are the valve body and the diaphragm itself. The plunger and spring are isolated from the fluid media. Isolation valves are typically desirable in sensitive applications such as scientific and medical instrumentation, where engineers want to maintain the chemical integrity of a fluid sample.

A knife gate valve is a valve that opens by lifting a round or rectangular gate/wedge out of the path of the fluid. The basic feature of this valve is the sealing surfaces between the gate and seats are planar. This is linear motion valve in which a flat closure element slides into the flow stream to provide shut-off. It is designed to minimize pressure drop across the valve in the fully opened position and stop the flow of fluid completely. It is suitable in applications involving slurries.

Laser Scanning Actuators are mirror type optical scanners. It is capable of scanning at high speed and with high precision. These are used for communication equipment, inspection instruments, measuring instruments and printed baseboard processing equipment.

Level Compensators are used to compensate for height differences. These serve as shock absorbers to prevent damage to work pieces and allow greater positioning latitude for robotic applications. These also provide a certain amount of shock absorption. 

A lift check valve is commonly used in piping systems in which globe valves are being used as a flow control valve. This has similar seating arrangements as globe valves. It is suitable for installation in horizontal or vertical lines with upward flow. This valve is recommended for use with steam, air, gas, water, and on vapor lines with high flow velocities. This valve is available in three body patterns: horizontal, angle, and vertical.

A linear actuator is a type of electric motor, which develops force and motion linearly. It is a device, used to generate controlled physical linear displacement. There are various means of achieving this linear displacement. It moves the heads in and out over the platters in a straight line. The coil moves in and out on a track surrounded by the stationary magnets. The primary advantage of the linear design is that it eliminates the head azimuth variations that occur with rotary positioning systems. A linear actuator does not rotate the head as it moves from one cylinder to another, thus eliminating this problem.

Linear Slide Table inserts mag-mate terminals into coil-wound components found in motors, stators, bobbins and in magnet wire applications. It is capable of producing up to 600 assemblies per hour. It can perform up to 2 secondary operations such as continuity testing, wrap-off post trim and tab bending. This linear slide table precisely positions the coil under the insertion head then rotates the coil to accommodate dual row insertions.

Linear slides are simple linear motion devices composed of a stationary base and a moving carriage. These are slides with a drive mechanism that provide controlled, precise positioning along a linear axis. Linear slides and linear stages use several types of bearings and guide mechanisms. Linear slides and linear stages with plain bearings and sleeve bushings are also available. Selecting linear slides and linear stages requires an analysis of axis configuration and travel specifications.

The load limiter is simply an automatic circuit breaker. The only difference between load limiter and circuit breaker lies in the degree of accuracy in response to an excess current. It enables electricity to be sold to consumers with low electricity consumption levels, on a secure and affordable basis. It provides significant capital and running cost advantages over kilowatt-hour meters and additional benefits including demand-side management. If the current exceeds the prescribed limit, the load limiter automatically disconnects the supply. It automatically resets and can therefore be mounted in an inaccessible place, such as on the service pole. This reduces problems of electricity theft.

Locking gas springs incorporate a mechanism to enable the rod to be locked at any point in its travel. This mechanism is actuated by a plunger that protrudes from the rod. When this plunger is depressed the rod is free to operate as normal. When the plunger is released, which may be at any point in the stroke, the rod is locked in that position.
