Two-Speed Blowers are nearly a drop-in replacement for the single-motor twin-fan blowers found on most traditional passenger cars. Two speed blowers mean improved passenger comfort over single speed blowers as high velocity air is provided only when needed. These blowers are more efficient because the fan operates at a lower speed when the system is in the ventilation mode.
The task of dispersers is to separate pigment agglomerates in viscous liquids from each other by the transmission of shear forces. Two speed disperser consists of a flat disk that rotates at a very high speed and has its limitations in large scale production because of a high quality finish, the product must be refined by further dispersion in a bead mill or attritor. The pigment dispersion is obtained mainly through the shearing action created by the disk, although some cavitations may occur to promote dispersion.
