Optical micro examination is a method of studying of microstructure constituents by means of the metallurgical microscope. Scanning electron microscope examination is a method of studying of microstructure constituents by means of the scanning electron microscope.

The primary characteristic of nozzle mix burner is separation of the fuel and oxidant until both exit the orifices of the burner and form a flame upon ignition in the throat of the burner. Usually the air and fuel are mixed in proportions such that the air exceeds the stoichiometric quantity needed to completely combust all of the fuel. With nozzle-mix burners, combustion air can be preheated, causing combustion to proceed even more rapidly and saving fuel. It is widely used for industrial furnace applications.

Oil-air ratio regulator is designed to provide the correct fuel/air ratio for oil-fired burners. It is used to proportion fuel flows to modulating oil burners. Combustion airflows produce a proportional pressure signal that is applied to the regulator to set the outlet oil pressure. On initial adjustment the desired oil flow rate is set to match the burner air capacities. The regulator holds this oil to air ratio at all firing rates. It has a unique balanced valve design for inlet oil pressure in the 40 psig to 100 psig range. A constant oil pressure is required at the OAR inlet.
