Risk analysis is the science of risks and their probability & evaluation. Risk analysis includes risk assessment, risk management and risk communication. Risk assessment involves identifying sources of potential harm, assessing the likelihood that harm will occur and the consequences if harm does occur. Risk management evaluates which risks identified in the risk assessment process require management and selects and implements the plans or actions that are required to ensure that those risks are controlled. Risk communication involves an interactive dialogue between stakeholders and risk assessors and risk managers, which actively informs the other processes.
Risk assessment is the process of evaluating whether or not a site poses a risk to human health or the environment. This process is used to measure the effectiveness of the remediation process, is critical to all hazardous waste-site work. The risk assessment process is also used in comparing different potential remedial alternatives to ensure that the cure is not as bad as or worse than the initial problem. It is a strictly objective process with decisions on risk based solely on scientific evidence.
Rivet Busters are used to remove rivets. They are riveting hammers modified to hold either a cutting chisel for loose rivets or a shearing chisel for tight rivets. They have a retainer that holds the chisel in the hammer when the head of the rivet is sheared off.
