Collet Changing Fixtures are used to couple and uncouple the collet from the chuck. Pins in the pivoting jaws of the changing fixture are inserted into the holes on the face of the collet. When the changing fixture is actuated, the rear of the collet is collapsed and can now be installed or removed from the chuck. Collets are collapsed by a changing fixture for quick removal and insertion into the chuck.
Collet insert is located in the collet cavity and consist of a drill string. It includes a cylindrical sleeve, a shoulder adjacent to the sleeve and a gripping portion.
Collet Installation Fixtures are used to insert and remove the master collet from the collet chuck. Removal of the master collet is necessary only when removing the chuck from the machine or during maintenance when the collet chuck is being cleaned.
