Hydraulic Cylinder Kits are designed for easy installation on a wide variety of inboard boats up to 50 feet. They feature aluminum cylinders when mounted 6″ form rudder shaft center, provides 35 degrees port and starboard deflection of the rudder. The cylinders includes bleeder fittings. These are suitable for dual station use with purchase of extra hardware.

Hydraulic cylinders are mechanical actuators that are used to give a linear force through a linear stroke. It is pressurized by hydraulic pressure and gets its power for the hydraulic fluid under pressure. It transforms the oil's energy to linear work. It works in a hydraulic system and is the motor side of this system. The generator side of the oil hydraulic system is the pump, that brings a fixed or regulated oilflow into the system. The hydraulic cylinder initiates the pressure of the oil, which can never be larger than the pressure that is asked by the load. The cylinder consists of cylinder barrel, cylinder bottom, cylinder head, piston, cylinder bottom connection and piston rod connection.
