Screw pumps are rotary positive displacement pump in which the flow through the pumping elements is truly axial. Fluid is transferred through successive contact between the housing and the screw flights from one thread to the next. The liquid is carried between the screw threads on one or more rotors. Screw pump has an axial flow pattern and low internal velocities. These pumps transfer fluid by displacing the oil axially through a closely fitted chamber formed between the screw recess and housing wall. These pumps are classified as two different types: the single rotor and multiple rotors. A classic example of screw pumps is the Archimedes screw pump that is used in irrigation and agricultural applications. Screw pumps provide a specific volume with each cycle and can be dependable in metering applications.

A modification of the helical gear pump is the screw pump. Both gear and screw pumps are rotary, positive displacement pump, which comes with two or three screws. It has one or more screws to transfer high or low viscosity fluids along an axis. These pumps have two or more intermeshing screws rotating axially clockwise or counterclockwise. Each screw thread is matched to carry a specific volume of fluid.  Like gear pumps, screw pumps may include a stationary screw with a rotating screw or screws.  Fluid is transferred through successive contact between the housing and the screw flights from one thread to the next. It provides a specific volume with each cycle and can be dependable in metering applications.

Screw Starters is a convenient tool for installing or removing slotted screws in otherwise hard-to-reach areas. It is also useful for installing screws that are too small to be held by hand. It is ideal for use in hard-to-reach areas, reduces the risk of cross-threading, spring steel chuck holds screw firmly during installation and removal and have knurled aluminum handles.

Screw Thread Insert or STI tap is used to prepare the hole. The recommended drill is utilized to open the hole to the correct minor diameter. The STI tap is then used to create the proper threads in the piece.

Screw to Connect Couplings operates at pressure up to 10,000 PSI. It is used in hydraulic ram, pump & impulse applications and rugged steel construction.
