Vacuum Systems is used to support high power densities. They contain assembly of components used to obtain, measure and maintain vacuum in a vessel, chamber or device. These are made up of pump, gauges and pipes connecting them together. The system also contains valves, motion seals and electric lead-throughts. They are used in industry and scientific research. These systems are based on permanent seals. There are many types of vacuum systems, which include rough vacuum systems and ultraclean vacuum systems. Rough vacuum systems are used in low technology applications as well as for load locks in medium and high technology applications. Ultraclean vacuum systems are used to keep surfaces free of monomolecular layers of gas contaminants for long periods.

Venturi Scrubber can have a rectangular or circular cross-sectional flow channel. This is installed to remove fine particles from volatile and hazardous or corrosive gas streams, or gas streams containing solid materials that are difficult to handle. In the throat, a bank of nozzles on either side of the throat injects water into the venturi throat. The water forms a curtain that is perpendicular to the airflow direction. The high velocity gas atomizes the liquid injected into the gas stream. It is normally assumed that the fine particles enter into the venturi throat with a velocity equal to that of the gas stream. The area ratio between the inlet and the throat across sections is typically 4:1. This is used to increase liquid atomization and to accelerate the liquid droplets. These have low performance efficiency due to their use of high pressure-fans. They collect coarse or fine particulate, including particulate less than 1 micron and particulate that is sticky or high in moisture. They are used for applications with high dust loadings. They are continuously wetted and therefore not vulnerable to clogging, plugging and scaling. These are used in pharmaceutical manufacturing or laboratory gas scrubbing.

It is used in combination with pre-loading operation. Vertical wick drains evacuate pore water from soft, compressible soils to induce consolidation and settlement. This allows construction to begin in one to three months instead of up to 12 months or longer. Using wick drains as a drainage path to reduce the water content also strengthens the underlying soil to accommodate superimposed loads and minimize future settlement.

Screens are used in classification of drier materials at coarser sizes. It is necessary to control the size characteristics of particular material that are fed to process equipment that separates mineralogical components. It presents a barrier to oversize materials while it readily passes the under size materials. Each material is given several opportunities to pass through the screen. The screen may be stationary or vibrating. The vibrating screens increase the rate of presentation of each particle and also assist in moving oversize particles away from the screen. Walking Beam Flocculators consist of horizontal line shafts, drive units, walking beams, paddle support assemblies, and paddles. The paddles are moved up and down in a reciprocating motion by means of a drive motor, gear reducer, torque arm assembly, connecting rod and riser beam which converts the circular motion of the drive output shaft into linear motion. It can be designed to ensure the entire basin is effected by the flocculation process minimizing short circuiting. This flocculator line shaft can be installed either perpendicular to the direction of the water flow or parallel to the flow.
