Remote Sensor System is an ultraviolet and thermal infrared line scanner system. The system is designed to detect and map oil pollution in the marine environment. It uses two line scanners and includes film recorders and real time displays. It also describes the observed effects of false target such as fish-oils, ship wakes, effluents, and seaweed. It also includes imagery of a series of tests involving discharges of various types of oils.
Remote Sump Tanks includes water valve as well as overflow, drain and pump suction connections. The tank is constructed of heavy gauge series 304 stainless steel, welded and strengthened with strategically placed stiffeners to increase the durability and longevity of the tank. The unit also includes a pump suction screen and an internal baffle to prolong the life of the water make-up valve.
