A dock plate is a metal plate that used to bridge the gap between a truck and a warehouse floor. It is a moveable metal ramp that allows access to a rail car or trailer. A plate member having upper and lower surfaces, front and rear ends and two opposites sides forms the dock plate. Two side members are provided which are irremovably attachable to the two sides of the dock plate. A handle with a wheel is attached to each of the side members. The two side members and their handles and wheels may be removed from the dock plate or attached to the two sides or dock plate at different positions along their lengths.
Dock Roller Assembly is a nylon roller allows the gangway to roll on hard surfaces with out dragging and making noise. The dock hardware is made from hot dipped galvanized 1/4″ steel. It can be use lumber from 1-1/2″ to 2-1/2″ thick and 8″, 10″, or 12″ high. The square holes are made for 1/2″ carriage bolts.
Dock shelters are exterior door frame and jam features that extend outward from the building and permit the truck rear sides and top flush against this extension. These devices ensure that there is no gap on the two sides and top of the delivery truck and building door frame and jam. With no gap, it improves dock security and energy conservation. The dock shelter is a fixed frame structure or flexible frame structure with a head curtain that extends outward from the building. The two sides of the frame hang on to the delivery trailer sides and roof and conform to the rear door of the delivery trailer or truck. Both types of shelters have steel channel protectors to reduce trailer damage as the trailer is backed up to the dock.
