Double jacketed double shell gaskets are commonly used style of gaskets in heat exchanger applications. It uses a shell and a washer, two shells are used in the fabrication of the gasket. These are available in virtually any material. It has the advantage of a double lap at both the I.D. and the O.D. of the gasket, adding greater stability to the gasket. Its temperature limitations depend upon the type of metal and filler used in construction.
Double knit flutter blowers consist of a multiple fluttering tubes, which are arrayed around the central core of a rib or interlock machine. Each of the fluttering tubes is turned on and cleans its section of the machine. The needle area is cleaned as the fluttering motion is sequenced around the whole machine circumference.
