Hydroforming is a cost-effective way of shaping malleable metals such as aluminum into lightweight, structurally stiff and strong pieces. It is used in automotive industries. It is used to produce stronger, lighter, and more rigid unibody structures for vehicles. It is a specialized type of die forming that uses a high pressure hydraulic fluid to press room temperature working material into a die. It allows complex shapes with concavities to be formed, which would be difficult or impossible with standard solid die stamping.

Hydrogen and oxygen removal systems solve the problems related to the separation of the traced impurities from the bulk gas in trace analysis process. If the bulk gas is hydrogen or oxygen, the best way to find the impurities is simply to remove the bulk gas with these systems, leaving only the impurities behind. For hydrogen removal, a palladium tube is heated to the precise temperature at which only hydrogen passes through the tube, to be swept away by a vent gas. For oxygen removal, a proprietary gettering alloy is heated to the temperature where it specifically absorbs oxygen. These systems have a three-port valve for gas selection to the trap and a six-port valve for selecting the mode to operate or regenerate.

The absorption of hydrogen chloride in water is a very important operation in the manufacture of commercial hydrochloric acid. It is also important in the purification of exhaust gas from chemical operations which form HCL as a by-product, and from refuse incineration where HCL is formed by the combustion of chlorine-containing plastics and solvents. Where HCL vapor is present as an impurity in gas streams, it can readily be removed by washing with water.

Hydrogen cyanide monitor is an ultra compact gas-measuring device. It is also a warning device for hydrogen cyanide in the 0-50.0 parts per million ranges. It allows the instrument to be worn on the lapel, shirt pocket or belt of those who require a warning of the presence of hazardous gas concentrations. It detects and measures potentially hazardous levels of hydrogen cyanide. It also detects HCN concentrations between 0 and 30.0 ppm and responds to TLV concentrations in less than 30 seconds.
