Hydrogen sulfide removal system is a hydrogen sulfide and mercaptan removal system. It is designed to treat sour gases and sour liquids and, provided adequate mixing can be achieved. It can be used to remove hydrogen sulfide from sludges. It reacts with H2S and mercaptans to form non-corrosive, non-hazardous, biodegradable byproducts.

Hydrogen sulfide scavenger is brine soluble and remains soluble after reacting with hydrogen sulfide. It is based on an organic chemical in place of the typical zinc- or iron-base compound. It provides a solids-free solution to hydrogen sulfide intrusion.

In general, the saturation of simple olefinic and acetylenic multiple bonds occurs readily in the presence of any typical hydrogenation catalyst. Platinum metals mainly rhodium are used as hydrogenation catalysts. These catalysts, when used in hydrogenations, are reduced to the metal form; thus, it is the metal that is the actual catalyst. Other catalysts, such as copper chromate, zinc oxide and metal sulfides, which are also active in hydrogenations, participate in the catalytic reactions in the oxide or sulfide form. The choice of catalyst applied in the hydrogenation of a certain unsaturated hydrocarbon depends on several factors, such as the reactivity of the substrate and the experimental conditions (pressure, temperature, solvent, liquid- or gas phase reaction).

Hydrogenation System consists of oil, a solid catalyst and hydrogen gas. A hydrogenation system of styrene and a dechlorination system of 4-chlorotoluene are constructed using a two-compartment cell separated by a Pd sheets.

Hydrographic surveys are utilized to measure and determine coral growth after the stopping of mining. It is used to determine and control dredging limits, rehabilitation of seabed, and location of constructed pipeline. These surveys are also used for calculation of volumes for payment of excavation.
