Print heads contains smart chips that optimize print quality and monitor print head health. Print heads are easy to maintain, which simply replace worn print heads for uninterrupted clear & sharp output. This is adjusted to print from 1mm (0.04?) up to 4mm (0.16?) high. Print heads average 24,000 pages for cyan, magenta and yellow.
Print wheels move forward to strike the paper and produce a printed line at speeds of 150 lines of 120 characters each per min. The print wheels are rotating under the paper & carbon and through the code wheel.
Printed circuit boards are used to mechanically support and electrically connect electronic components using conductive pathways, or traces, etched from copper sheets laminated onto a non-conductive substrate. Most PCBs are composed of between one and twenty-four conductive layers separated and supported by layers of insulating material (substrates) laminated (glued with heat, pressure & sometimes vacuum) together. Most of the printed circuit boards are made by adhering a layer of copper over the entire substrate, sometimes on both sides.
